Color-transparency questions

The selected pixel is the anchor; tolerance, mode, and softness define how the rest of the image responds.

01Can I make a specific color transparent inside an image?

Yes. All matching mode can remove the sampled color anywhere in the image, including enclosed or repeated areas.

02Can I type the target color as HEX?

After selecting a visible pixel, you can replace its HEX value with another six-digit color and the preview will recalculate.

03What is the difference between tolerance and softness?

Tolerance decides which colors belong to the match. Edge Softness changes alpha gradually near that threshold instead of blurring the image.

04How do I remove only one patch of the selected color?

Choose Connected area. The matching region must connect back to the pixel you sampled through neighboring matching pixels.

05What happens to the original RGB values?

The engine changes alpha for matched pixels and leaves their RGB bytes intact, which avoids recoloring pixels that remain visible.
